Starting a New Monograph Submission

Only active donors can add new monograph submissions.

To start a new submission:

1.  Click on the Start Submission tab to access the screen for starting a submission.

o     A Monograph Search screen will display.

2.  Optionally, select a Publication Type from the dropdown field. By default all publication types will be searched.

3.  Begin typing the name in the Monograph Name field.

o     A list of matching names will display. An example is shown below:

4.  Select a name from the list of matches and click Find Monographs.

o     A list of matching monographs will display in a table.

The table displays the following details:

§     Monograph # â€“ the number assigned to the monograph by USP.

§     Monograph Name â€“ the monograph for which this submission is being created.

§     Monograph Status â€“ the status of the monograph: Missing, Official, or In Development.

§      Publication Type â€“  the publication with which the completed monograph will be published (All, USP-NF, FCC, Pending, or Non-US).

§      Submission Status â€“  the current status of the monograph submission (this column will be blank except for those monographs currently in the submission process).

NOTE

If the monograph is currently in a monograph status of "In Development," the submission will be created but placed into a state of suspension. The suspended state will make the submission non-editable to the Donor.

5.  Select monograph name in the table.

o     The Start a New Monograph Submission dialog box displays.

6.  Verify your selection in the dialog box and click the START button to initiate the submission.

o     You are taken to a View/Edit Submission page, which displays all known details for the submission.

NOTE

If the submission status is in a state of suspension, a message will display at the top of the screen, and the submission will be non-editable. Contact the StAcq management team if you have questions regarding the suspension.

You can now get started with editing the submission.
